Eid table. This is how Tajikistanis set their table for Eid-ul-Fitr. Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr after Ramadan (the month of fasting) ends. Tajikistanis put fruits, nuts, sambusas and desserts over the table. The whole family gathers and neighbors and friends visit each other. They give gifts called Eidi to the kids.

Plov (also known as Osh) is one of the most famous dishes in Tajikistan. It is also the national dish of Tajikistan. It is made of rice, garlic, chickpeas, shredded carrots, and bits of beef. Usually, the whole family shares a big plate of Osh with sides of salad and (sometimes) naan.
